
Perry Wu, CEO & Co-FounderPerry is responsible for the strategic direction, financial performance, and team management at BitGravity. Prior to BitGravity, he was involved in the creation of Xilinx, Mpath, eWorld, Sitesmith, Alibris, and more recently Cloudshield, Enkata, Persist, and WireCache. He has been an investment professional at Accel Partners, Bedrock Capital, and most recently as a General Partner at ComVentures. Earlier in his career as an entrepreneur, Perry helped start and grow Mpath—the first peer-to-peer multiplayer game service and VoIP service—from inception to IPO. He was an early pioneer in the Internet at eWorld, where he helped architect the spinout and buyback of Apple’s Internet and EDI Services business. Prior to Apple, Perry was part of the start-up team at Xilinx, where he helped spur the adoption of field programmable gate arrays. Perry has also served in technical roles at IBM’s Almaden Research Center and Andersen Consulting. Perry is a graduate of Stanford University with a BS in Electrical Engineering and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School. |
Perry Clarke, Vice President EngineeringPerry is responsible for leading the team that designs, develops, and optimizes the core BitGravity platform and products. Perry has over 25 years of engineering and management experience. Early in his career Perry programmed and managed teams at Motorola and Oracle in the UK. After moving to the US, Perry managed software engineering teams at several companies, including Sun, SmartCalendar, and Unify. Prior to joining BitGravity, Perry co-founded Konfabulator--the desktop widgets application that spawned the widgets craze. After selling Konfabulator to Yahoo!, Perry joined BitGravity as one of the company's first employees. |
Edward Crump, Vice President, TechnologyEd is responsible for developing and commercializing technologies at BitGravity. Ed has expertise in leading technology teams that design and implement commercially robust systems with a focus on distributed systems, networking, network acceleration, embedded systems, and device drivers. As BitGravity employee number four, Ed was integral in developing the company's core content delivery network and live broadcasting product. Prior to joining BitGravity, Ed was CTO and co-founder of SmartCalendar, and held management positions at Pure Software and Tadpole Computer. Ed started his career at Amdahl working on mainframes and compilers, finding his way into distributed systems and networking technologies at Akamba and Tadpole. Chris Turner, Vice President Worldwide SalesChris is responsible for global sales efforts including development of worldwide channels, business development and support. Chris served as Senior Vice President of Global Sales at Akamai Technologies, were he managed a global team of 250 and was responsible for Akamai’s annual revenue totaling over $150m. Also at Akamai, Chris held the positions of VP of Worldwide Channel and International Sales, VP North American Sales, and Director of Alliances and Channel Sales. Chris also led worldwide sales and support at Intelliden Corporation, ran sales and business development at SkyeTek, and spent 10 years at IBM in sales and management positions working with the CEO and CIO offices, and the Internet Division Chris is a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University with dual Bachelor of Arts in International Business and Political Science and received his MBA from Harvard Business School. |
